David Haile



One of our founding members, David Haile is a high school band director in Las Vegas. He has been fortunate to play as a professional musician in the Pittsburgh, PA, area before moving to Las Vegas. In Pittsburgh, he has played in the pit orchestra for the Pittsburgh Playhouse in addition to playing with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra for 3 years. He also had his own jazz band for 4 years that was the staple of a music club outside of Pittsburgh.  While growing up in Pittsburgh, David performed with Dr. Nathan Davis, former sideman with Art Blakey, Harold Betters, and Donald Byrd. David also had a brass quintet that was the Artist in Residence of the Catholic Diocese in Greensburg, PA. As a band director in PA., David conducted a fireman’s band called the Green Trojan Marching Band. The band, in a three-year period won 68 of 70 parades including a state championship. After arriving in Las Vegas, David has played with the Nevada Symphony, Kenny Rogers, The Frank Sinatra Tribute with Quincy Jones conductor, The West Side Story National Tour 1997, and many other acts and shows in Las Vegas. Outside of music, David loves computers and has received a doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Instructional Technology, and Distance Education.
